APPLIANCES IN ORTHODONTICS - DIGITAL APPROACH
Virtual planning and 3D printing have become the new standard for modern orthodontics with significant advantages over traditional planning method such as better planning visualization, improved accuracy and superior prognosis and assistance for difficult cases. Combined with the development of softwares, the virtual planning solution for orthodontic appliances is now ready to use routinely. However, mastering those softwares are still a burden for clinicians who are often busy with their clinical work. The aim of this program is to offer hands-on training in how to perform planning virtually and in house farbrication for those appliances in orthodontics as well as applying to clinical practice. The basic principles of TMD, OSA and Direct Clear Aligner will also revisited. Furthermore, live surgery with minimally invasive technique will also presented. After this workshop, the learners should be able to:
- Understanding digital workflow of 3D Printing in Orthodontics.
- Understanding digital approach of Aligners, Indirect bonding tray, Metal 3D Printed Appliances.
- Knowing the benefits and limitation of Appliances in TMD, OSA.
- Knowing the new ideas: MSE; OGS; Auto transplantation, DIY brackets and tube, Hybrid Orthodontic treatment; IDT in the digital era.
